“Tribute to Georgia” Sara Cantlon-PDF

This design was created on Duncan ‘04’ Bisque Square Platter.  This project is a tribute to one of Sara’s favorite artists Georgia O’Keefe.  The first time I ever saw her work I was a freshman in college and from that moment on I gathered all the information I could about her and her work.  While visiting Santa Fe, during Indian Market, I visited a gallery featuring her work.  She was “out of the box” which I really admire.  She is a real inspiration and lives on through her work.  Thank you, Georgia.  The flower in this project is a Majolica technique done with layering colors that are sumi shaded.  The border is a variation of the CFE Aged Metal technique.
